Section 1: Position Summary
The Deposits Follow-Up position is a part of the Admin Team and is responsible for assisting in requesting additional information from clients, agents, and institutional groups, ensuring that funds are correctly allocated into each client’s account. The position requires analytical skills that are needed to distinguish between various tax codes and requires the persistence to review supporting documents that provide key information on anticipated deposits. In addition to working closely with the Processing Team, the Deposits Follow-Up individual assists the VIP team in ensuring service levels are met for clients.
Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively perform all aspects of IRA administration
- Provide phone/email/in person contact with clients, advisers, referrals, banks, investment firms
- Resolve internal and external client issues by responding professionally to all correspondence within communicated and departmental SLA's
- Provide management reporting as required
- Research and resolve discrepancies in documents and transactions
- Research asset documentation
- Resolve internal and external client issues by responding professionally to all correspondence within communicated and departmental standard time frames.
- Participate in audit or quality control activities
- Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements
- College level accounting classes and/or experience in financial services industry
- Prior participation in industry specific education or certification courses
- Ability to effectively communicate, both in writing and orally, with wide range of outside contacts in a professional manner
- Able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Self directed with ability to take initiative
- Good interpersonal skills
- Work closely with others in a team setting
- Strong math skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to proofread
- Software Skills: Access, MS Office 2007 (Word, Excel, & Outlook), LexisNexis, Adobe Acrobat
- Promote a positive and professional working environment
- Knowledge of IRA administration and all types of qualified contributions to Traditional and Roth IRA Plans
- General understanding of individual and qualified retirement plan contributions and related tax consequences
- Knowledge of effective research methods including the Internet, eResource, and other IRA systems.
- Knowledge of IRS regulations, penalties, withholding, and reporting requirements
