Job Description
Lead team of mechanics and maintenance coordinator (MC) in executing maintenance activities to support the site safety, production and quality goals.
· Review scheduled work and priority as appropriate with MC and Operations to align on priorities and identify / resolve potential issues.
· Ensure that all team members comply with standard procedures, primary job functions and responsibilities.
· Accountable for the team’s daily maintenance and housekeeping according to established standards.
· Direct and support other team members in meeting department and site goals. Participate and share in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility. Contribute and participate in team decision making.
· Support skill development of team members, ensure training to necessary standards, maintain training records, and appropriate skills evaluation.
· Track and report out on departmental KPIs. Check and adjust as necessary to achieve KPIs.
· Monitor maintenance spending versus budget, and provide input on annual department budget.
· Provide support in project work, working in other departments and other special requests when applicable.
· Troubleshoot problems and breakdowns (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc.) on all AD Medical processes, production, and facilities equipment.
· Perform Preventative Maintenance (PMs) on equipment from verbal instructions, work orders, and operating manuals.
· Using wiring diagrams, sketches and drawings, install AC and DC motors, wire, conduit, cable, transformers, electronic controls, power circuits, switches, generators, and miscellaneous hardware. All electrical installations to meet NEC and JIC standards.
· Repair and adjust regulating and control equipment.
Test and calibrate instruments to meet established standards.
· Inspects, cleans, and maintains AC/ DC motors.
· Layout, assemble, install, and test electronic fixtures, apparatus, control equipment, and wiring used in alarm, communication and light and power systems on production building and facilities equipment.
· Modify electrical power and control equipment from verbal instructions.
· Troubleshoot problems with programmable controllers, (electrical) equipment, and miscellaneous hardware.
Understand and ensure compliance with cGMP, ISO 13485, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 regulations.
· Report deviations from standard conditions to team leader.
· Calibrate and maintain process instrumentation and recorders.
· Calibrate and maintain Lab instrumentation and recorders.
· Maintain calibration equipment per traceability standards.
· Maintain software, PLC-Lab.
· Respond to calls for emergency repairs on off shift hours.
· Perform other tasks as required.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
· 7+ years of experience providing electrical and mechanical maintenance support in a manufacturing environment.
· Working knowledge of PLC controllers and recorders
· Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
· Experience with AC/DC drive systems.
· PLC programming experience.
· Proficient using PC.
· Able to construct electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuits and systems from drawings.
· Able to run electrical conduit.
· Pipe fitting experience
· Proficient welding and fabrication experience.
· Knowledge and use of electrical test equipment.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work with other departments.
· Able to plan work flow and complete scheduled tasks in a safe and timely manner.
· Experience with predictive maintenance techniques.
· Good written and oral communication skills required.
· Demonstrated initiative, integrity, and judgment skills.
