Fresenius USA Manufacturing, Inc., an FMCNA co., Ogden, UT. Oversee consolidation of accounting & financial activities of N.A. manufacturing facilities of Fresenius Med. Care. Coordinate, administer & control all aspects of accounting & financial operations as well as financial forecasts, budgetary reports & government regulatory filings.
Duties include:

Review and consolidation of individual manufacturing plant’s yearly budgets into a North America manufacturing budget; including presentation of parts of it to upper management.

Review and consolidation of individual manufacturing plant’s quarterly forecasts and monthly results.

Providing assistance to the different Finance departments of the manufacturing plants; including temporarily covering for absences during month-end close.

Keeping up-to-date narratives and/or documentation of the month-end closing activities of the different manufacturing plants.

Reviewing and acting as approver of requests for capital submitted by the manufacturing plants.

Reviewing the plant’s month-end analysis of information to determine best practices in analyzing manufacturing variances.

Assistance in the creation of cost estimations for products in development stage.

Coordinate the manufacturing plant’s use of Anaplan software to keep track of capital projects and spending, including actual spend and forecasts of spending.

Facilitatingandoverseeingthecompletionoffinancialcomplianceaudits;

Preparing and analyzing periodic reporting on actual versus budget data;

Organizing, interpreting and presenting relevant financial information/analysis for timely and effective decision-making and identifying significant issues and success/problem indicators and evaluating the financial impact of strategic and operational actions under consideration;

Re-structuring internal processes and procedures, including inventory analysis, with the goal of reducing overall time and cost and increasing accuracy and quality;

Maintainingaccountingprocesscontrolsfor manufacturing facilitiesthroughprocessreviews, businessprocessanalyses andinternal control testing; ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP),Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and other regulatory requirements;

Utilization of different SAP modules including: Material Management (MM), Financial and Controlling (FICO) and Production Planning (PP), in order to assist manufacturing facilities with troubleshooting errors in their product costing or their variance reports.

Utilization of SAP modules to corroborate information provided by the manufacturing plants, and to gather information for consolidated analyzes (material usage variance, purchase price variance, etc.).Interface with internal SAP report-development group in order to define requirements for new reports, as well as testing the reports before their release to the plants.
Requires: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business, Accounting or Finance & 2 years experience as Cost Accountant with a manufacturing business. Position also requires 10% domestic & international travel.
