Licensed Mental Health Professional
The Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) in this position will function as one of the 10 Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Teams in the state specifically known as the Spoke Care Team (SCT) as part of the Louisiana State Opioid Response Program (LaSOR). The SCT will serve approximately 200 patients being treated for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) by Office-Based Opioid Treatment Providers (OBOTs) also referred to as Spokes. This program is in conjunction with an agreement between the State of Louisiana Office of Behavioral Health and LSUHSC-NO. Incumbent will provide addiction mental health services and case management to patients and families in order to OBOT providers, such as screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment (SBIRT), assessments, case coordination, and recovery support services, as well as assistance with data collection and entry. Incumbent will work collaboratively with other project personnel in developing/supporting waiver authorized prescribers, contracts, and consent for treatment. All work will be performed in accordance with the laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of all applicable licensing and governmental agencies, LSUHSC, and with the guidelines set by the Assistant Secretary of the Office of Behavioral Health.
This position services the following parishes: Calcasieu, Jefferson Davis, Cameron, Beauregard, and Allen. In some cases, tele modalities may be used.
Required Education: Bachelor's in Social Work, psychology, or related field
Required Licenses:
At least one of the following: LAC, Licensed Addiction Counselor; LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker; or LPC, Licensed Professional Counselor
Minimum 2 years Addiction experience either in training or in practice
Preferred: Masters in Social Work, psychology, or related field
Preferred Licenses: LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker; LCSW-S, Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Supervisor; LPC, Licensed Professional Counselor; LPC-S, or other advanced credentials applicable to substance abuse support
Preferred Experience: Two years of addiction experience either in training or in practice in collaborative care setting
