Mechanic Laborer
MECHANIC/LABORER
The Melrose Housing Authority is seeking a qualified individual for the full-time position of Maintenance Mechanic/Laborer. Applicants should have basic experience with carpentry, flooring repairs, minor plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, cleaning, plowing, shoveling, and snow blowing. Must have excellent communication skills and must be able to work independently. Must be available for rotating on-call after-hours schedule and must be able to respond within 30 minutes. General knowledge of maintenance systems, building equipment, and small tools. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under Housing Authority insurance. Must have the ability to lift moderate weights of between 30-60 pounds on a regular basis and ability to stand and/or walk all day. Applicant must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
Full benefits package provided. Salary is subject to the Department of Labor and Industries rates. Resumes will be received until the position is filled.
